The 2nd Education and Development Conference (EDC2007), held from 5th to 7th March 2007 at the First Hotel Bangkok, continued the momentum established by the inaugural EDC2006 event and strengthened the foundations of what would become one of Asia’s longest-running international education conference series.

Building on the vision introduced during the first edition, EDC2007 brought together educators, researchers, and practitioners from around the world who shared a commitment to exploring the role of education in social progress and human development. Although this early edition also predates the introduction of our digital archiving system, it played an important role in developing many of the traditions that continue to shape the Education and Development Conference today:
